Almaqah or Ilmuqah Ge'ez አለመቀሀ, ʾLMQHArabic المقة

Is believed to be a moon god of the ancient Sabaeans of Yemeni kingdom of Saba' and the kingdoms of Dʿmt and Aksum (modern Eritrea/ Northern Ethiopia.) others claim that Almaqah was the sun godof the ancient Yemenites,  scholar Jacques Ryckmans states; "Almaqah is considered a moon god, but Garbini and Pirenne have shown that the bull's head and the vine motif associated with him may have solar and dionysiac attributes. He was therefore a sun god as they claim, they also claim him being the male counterpart of the sun goddess Šams شمس, who was also venerated in Saba and other parts of Mesopotamia , but as a tutelary goddess of the royal dynasty." The ruling dynasty of Saba' regarded themselves as his children.the chief god Almaqah is represented on monuments by a cluster of lightning bolts surrounding a curved, sickle-like weapon. Bulls were sacred to him and in the same time a symbol of Almaqah .Al in Almaqah name isn't the same as the definite article in modern day arabic ال/Al, in the  south arabian language they added the letter N in the end of every word as a definite article; Al/Il in Almaqah name stand for God,it's a semetic word that means god and many semitic Gods in Mesopotamia were described as El/Al such as the Canaanite God Il elion.
